Can someone tell me the diamater of the various lines that I should buy to replace those on my 1975 Cat-22? My old lines seem to have become larger with age I think and they are hard to measure. Already I have bought one sheet for my storm jib that probably would be better on a 40 footer. I'm interested in diam. of halyards and sheets for the jibs and for the main. Thanks, and I hope year 2000 has been a great sailing year for everyone! Dick

rigging list

Hi Dick, If it would help you I have a rigging list for a Cat 22 2000. I am not sure what the size difference is if any between yours and my boat, but if you think it would help you send me an email to dgl@lightspeed.net Happy Sailing :) Dave LaPere

Standard Size

The standard sheets for most year C-22 is 5/16 Inch. However, a lot of folks when replacing move up to 3/8 inch. The larger diameter is much better on the hands, but can be a real pain in very light winds. If your sheets and halyards are in need of replacement, consider this before changing sizes. If you sail in predominently light winds, stay with the 5/16. If stronger winds are more prevalent in your sailing area, go for the 3/8 inch. Fair Winds,
