Peggie:I think I'm finally sold on the LectraSan and thanks to you I know where to get a bargain. I'm interested in the possibility of sharing a LectraSan between two heads but need your input. My boat has two heads on opposite sides fore and aft so a total of about 20 feet between them, currently connected to 11 gal holding tanks. I've found both tanks to be leaking (probably from overfilling) and have decided to switch to LectraSan on one or both heads with a smaller holding tank on one head to stay legal. Raritan says each must be within 6 feet of the LectraSan and I understand that's so the amount of flushing required to clear the head discharge line won't send untreated sewage out overboard. (Correct me if I'm wrong please.) Is there a workaround to this problem (such as doing two cycles--seems a waste) or is better to just not try it? I'm not excited about purchasing two LectraSan units if it can be helped. Thanks for your help.
