As you can see in this link there are several factors: http://dahmermarine.com/Struts.htm . Your original strut was one of those at the bottom of this link. Somewhere in "Search" you can find the number I think. You doubtless know that the company went out of business. Interesting that the website remains.

P.S. Found this and another from Sam Lust:
http://forums.hunter.sailboatowners.com/showthread.php?p=122382&highlight=dahmer strut . Might be worth an e-mail or PM to Sam. My strut has the Dahmer part number on the side.

P.S.S. sorry about the 4" guess. I did not know the H30 had the v-strut(see Mark's post following).

Ed is correct...

at least on my 75 H30. Model 2010 is the strut. Note that dimension A is the outside dimension of the cylinder while the inside ( as noted by Ed in his first post ) is 1.25 inches. However, the length of the cylinder is 3" ( 3" cutlass bearing for a 1" shaft is the next tough thing to find. )
I plan on going to my boat this weekend and will measure the V angle then, but ~60* should correct.

So Larry, have you found a source?
