Shaft Seals

The seal on my shaft used to just drip a little while the engine was running in gear, shaft turning. Now it leaks all the time. Does anyone know if it is possible to tighten the seal or should i put it on the list of things to do when it is hauled. Joel ARIKI

Joel, you can tighten up the seal with 2 big wrenches and stop the leak. It is better to just have a little drip like you had before, that lubricates the seal.
