Mine is a Long Island Iced Tea, but rather involved to mix on a daysailer - The Admiral's is a Malibu Mist: Malibu Rum, ice, splash of lime Much easier on my little boat...I usually settle for a Corona.

An old Filipino man once asked me Why
do Americans like their rum salad?" I didn't understand his question so we worked through it and determined that he meant,"Why do Americans like their rum mixed?" He thought it was just fine as it came from the bottle. After a few bottles I came to agree with him. The most mixing I do with whisky, rum or gin is ice with the whisky, a little coke with the rum and a bit of tonic with the gin.

Tried a Mojito a month ago
A fortunate couple I know made me a mojito which was good. Lime, raw sugar mint and ice...rum to taste. They had just gotten back from the Virgin islands and had the drink there. My wife tends toward mixed drinks I tend more towards neat or ice. Why pay for fine distilled alcohol and mix it with coke??? I had never tried rum neat but tried some Baccardis especial that way and it was fine. Then I tried it poured over a few ice cubes..even better in hot weather. As others have mentioned I drink responsibly. Maybe a cold beer or two while sailing but drinking is usually left until after the hook is down or we are safely tied to the dock. Even at anchor I don't drink much if the weather is unsettled. Being compromised when a storm comes in and makes you drag anchor would be a nightmare!!!! http://www.tasteofcuba.com/mojito.html So from this little survey I will buy some fruit juices and plenty of ice for the weekend. Maybe a few limes and some fresh mint from our back yard. Rum is the alcohol of choice this weekend. Everyone have a great and safe weekend!!!!! ....because his Sailor Jerry on the rocks can be the usual gentleman's sip or (on occasion in bad company) go on until 3am, at which point you can only hope your step back across to your own boat goes as planned*o. Now lets talk about what time sailor jerry lets you wake up after a 3am night of "truth serum". OMG my head hurts, I can't believe I repeated those crazy stories from my former life and how did the sun get so high in the sky? Summer Sailstice was fun rafted up with Ross and his fathers day gift bottle of SJ. Thanks again my friend, I should be fully recovered from our annual "meeting" by sometime in the Fall

Don't know the mix
but I had a Rum Melee at Skinny Legs last year right after a Painkiller and the world became very fuzzy. It's a five rum mix. Unfortunately I wasn't able to ascertain the formula. Very tasty!!!
