I am thinking about using Whitney Marine in Jacksonville, Florida to perform a breakdown of a used Hunter 30 I am planning to buy. I will have it ship ped to Sailors Wharf in St Peteersburg, FL and have it reset by them. Can anyone provide me with their experience on Dealing with Whitney Marine or Sailorswharf? Also what surprises should I be ready for?

Whitney's Marine

Art, I have purchased two boats from Whitney's and I am docked there. My experiance with them has been nothing short of excellent. Debbie and the yard crew are very knowledgeable and , in my experiance, very picky about their work. My only thought is to plan early to reserve yard time as they stay busy and be sure of what you want done as that is how they estimate the amount of yard time you will need. If you need any other specifics, feel free to e-mail me privately at pbednarzyk@msn.com. Paul Bednarzyk S/V Knot Again

Whitney's Marine

Whitney's has a great reputation for quality work and fair pricing. I have docked my boat(s) there for almost 5 years and have never heard a complaint regarding their service. I bought my current boat from them and could not be happier with the way they worked with me. My boat is docked directly across from their travel lift and the care and attention to detail they show when moving and working on boats never ceases to amaze me. You can't go wrong with them. Stop by and say hi s/v "Slowdance"

Sailor's Wharf

Art, I've used Sailor's Wharf ever since I bought my 430 from them. Yard work is great; however you have to push them. They are always busy and the "squeeking -----" really applies to them. Jeff is the yard supervisor and is very cooperative. Great and knowledgable crew.
