series 1 H42- onan gen set sound proofing

My 1991 H42 has the factory fitted Onan 8 kva gen set- which is great BUT- its very noisy! I understand the Hunter factory didn't fit the sound proof enclosures because they simply wouldn't fit in the space above the engine. I have replaced all of the engine room soundproofing with the best material available, but it is still noisier than I would like, so just wondering what others have done please? I am now considering wrapping the exhaust hose and the plastic water trap muffler with some flexible sound barrier material.

So I guess you installed dynomatt sound proofing you can isolate mounts and wrap exhaust in sound reducing high temp insulation

I used 1/2 dynomat over 1/4 thk MLV Not much help for thr $ and labor -should have used SOUNDOWN.
