I am preparing to have my 1991 Hunter Legend 37.5 listed for sale with a broker. I have looked at several web sites and see what people list the boat for but I don't know just how to find out what these particular boats actually bring. Does anyone know if there is data available, similar to homes that sell, that provides actual sales price? Ultimately I want to establish a reasonable price for the boat that reflects a fair price to me yet allows the boat to sell in a short time. Thanks for any help.

thoughts

Bill, I found a '92 Legend 43 for 140, an '87 Legend 45 at Sun and Sail in Mt. Clemens for 120, a '91 Moorings in Annapolis for 103 (probably a charter boat), and another 45 in Annapolis for 130. If you are interested in my negotiations, contact me at ARBCKB@aol.com

Broker

Your broker should be able to help you come up with a good price. Just for your info. When I bought my 37.5 (91) in Nov. of 85 I paid $88.5. Two years later I had a fire on the boat. At that time the insureance company said it was worth $101. This is in the state of Washington where Hunters hold their value pretty good. When you try and put a price on the boat try and find some other 37.5's in the same area that you are. If you look at boats in Florida they will be cheaper because there are alot of Hunters there. Anyone wanting those good deals will have to ship the boat which depending how far it is a extra $10k. Also there was a 37.5 here in Seattle that was for sale. It was listed in the high $90's. Hope this will help.

Use the BUCNET price

I looked at both web sites. The NADA is pretty low where the BUCNET price was about right for a (91) 37.5 and Passage 42.Also the BUCNET lets you get a price for the area you live in.
