I own an Endeavour 35.5. Ours was built in Florida in 1983 but it is a Canadian Licenced boat currently on the hard in Florida. I sold her recently to an American and we are having problems with the transaction. I licenced her rather than registering and I didn’t receive any title document when I purchased her only a bill of sale. The buyer went to the dmv in Florida and they told him I need to register the boat, that proof of licence cancellation and bill of sale we not enough. Has anyone else had experience in this?

FYI Connecticut does not issue boat titles. Possibly other states as well. Perhaps you should seek a higher authority at the Florida DMV?
