??? self righting 23.5

as a new 23.5 owner I would like to know if the boat is self righting, I sail on lake Michigan,and at times it can get down right scarey,I don,t want to find out the hard way,So far 15 to 20 knot winds in 4 to 6 ft waves is all I care to go out in.I just would like to know what the boat will take befor I go siwmming.

IT WILL !

It will self right. I got knocked down with the jib full of water and the mainsail kissing the waves. It sure seemed slow but it did right again. It was in gusty winds and no real waves so if you had 4' waves, it might be more exciting. Be sure the ballast valve is closed and the tank is full. Wonder if anyone has rolled one clear over and had it right? I'd worry about the open and low transom in rough seas more. The OB Motor seems to go under pretty easily. Ken S/V Wouff Hong
