We own a Hunter Vision 32' built in 1989. We love the boat but am getting tired of handling the large main, especially after a day sail when we have to wrap it up and cover it. We're thinking of putting on a Leisure Furl/In-Boom Furling System. Anyone out there have a self furling main on a Vision? Remember - a Vision is a stayless self supporting mast much like the freedom rigging!

furlboom

Scott, I put a Furlboom system on my 410 this last year for many of the same reasons. Took some getting use to but its a great system. Can reef at virtually any wind angle, and makes stowing the large main on my 410 a dream. Don't have a clue how it would work on your Vision, but you could call Dougall Johnson at YSA at 714-437-9600 X 222. He's a rigger by background and is very knowledgable. They have a "First in Harbor" program that makes them much more cost effective than Leisurefurl. Bryce S/V Spellbinder H410

Poor man's answer to furling main

Scott, I installed a Mack Pack system this year. It works great and makes putting that big main await a lot easier. Also less expensive than furling main ($800.00).
