Selden in mast furling

Im wanting to use the winch located at the mast to furl, unfurl the main. Something however is preventing the main to be pulled out. Theres some sort of tension in place preventing that to happen. It can be pulled back in but not out. Any suggestions. Thanks a lot

Lock

Is the winch at the mast in the Lock or Free position,needs to be in Free.

You can also try to just pull it out by hand, no need to winch it out really, all you will do is put a bunch of slack in the main while it's in the mast.
