Selden Furling Mast Maintenance

The manual for the Selden furling mast on my 2004 Hunter 33 says to "lift the rubber boot and grease the upper bearing (3) on the roller mechanism". The boot does not seem liftable to me. Any clarification or suggestions would be helpful. Thanks

I just pull it up about 1/4" and squirt the lube in as the sail is being unfurled in and out for one or two turns.
