Tender

I looked at a 30 footer about 15 years ago just before I bought my C30. They were selling cheap back then too. I'm not sure about the 34 or 37 but the 30 was VERY beamly. An unusual looking boat, very wide in the middle, narrow at the ends. I was told back then that as a result of the unusual shape the boat was extremely tender. It makes sense, most of the boat is above the waterline. I was told that in rough weather or offshore the boat would be on it's side with major heeling going on. Plus, as you know they sell cheap. If you buy one be prepared to keep it a very long time as there isn't much of a market for them and you'll be selling it dirt cheap.

Seidelmann review

Try the Seidelmann site, Seidelmann-owners.com, you'll get info and reviews from current owners as opposed to hearsay. As for me, I sail a 30T on Long Island Sound and have no complaints as to how she handles and performs, and I have taken her some extended cruises!
