Hi -- I would appreciate any leads to help me identify the manual head with the shortest vertical dimension, including open lid. I currently have a WC Headmate, but find that it interferes with the slide out sink above it and would like to install something shorter. Thanks for any advice.

Two simple solutions:
All compact toilets are within an inch of the same height. They can't be any shorter 'cuz people just can't squat any lower. And the same size seat/lid fits all of 'em. So you have only two options: 1. Close the lid before sliding out the sink. It's unlikely that anyone would be trying to use the sink and the toilet at the same time. 2. Remove the lid. Most people rarely close it anyway unless they want to sit on it to take a shower, so you won't miss it.
