Seeking Marina recommendation -Mid Chesapeake area

I'm looking for a marina that won't break the bank. I might be able to keep the boat if I can get my expenses down. I need electric when I'm there to cook with or to occasionally power an AC on the hot nights at the dock. A pool is a nicety but not a necessity. I'm on the York River currently, and I draw 5.5 ft. I'd enjoy the Deltaville area or Mobjack regions. I'd like to pay 150 or less per mo and not be tied to an anual contract.

Mac , what I read is you want a transient slip for less tha 5 dollars per day. May I recommend an anchor and a dinghy and a little Honda generator?

Mac, The area your are seeking is not the mid Chesapeake, but the southern. Chuck

Slip fees at my Marina has gone down to $1300 a year of $130 a month. It isn't mid bay as it is a day's sail to make out of the Potomac River, but it is a cheaper area to keep the boat and it is nice sailing on the Potomac River. You are a long day from St. Mary's River (St. Mary's College), Point Lookout, and the Coan River. Easier trips are Canoe Neck Creek, Bretton Bay (Leonard Town, MD), Nonomi Bay.

Deltaville is nice but I am not sure of prices. The Potomac River areas may be cheaper!

Agree with Ross

Good luck, I don't think a marina is what you are looking for. Try private docks. No services, electirc possably, and all the wave action you can handle depeding on location, but cheap.
Also hard to find, try crag's list

Join the military. The Navy has a marina in Solomon Island with unbeatable rates for military personnel.
