Securing a gear hammock

I just purchased a gear hammock and hammock hooks and was wondering whether ordinary wood screws are enough to secure these hooks to the side wood walls in the V-berth of my 320. Are these good enough or do I need to anchor the scews somehow from behind the wood wall? How thick is this wall anyway? Your advice/experience in this regard is appreciated. Thanks! Carl

Gear hammock mounting

I use SS screws of the sheet metal type because they don't have the long taper of wood screws. I'm not sure if there is a hull liner behind the ash paneling so I allways assume if I drill too deep I'm hitting the hull. The paneling is only about 1/4" thick but because of the almost instant thickness/diameter of the sheet metal type screws they bite well enough into the panneling to hold quite a load. If someone can confirm the presence of a hull liner behind the paneling it would give me some peace of mind. Stan
