we have a 4 person dinghy that we deflate and store inside our H260 so that it does not get stolen. It is quite a battle moving the dinghy in and out of the cockpit then inside the boat. We are leary with leaving it in the water and secured to the boat with a lock. Our boat is located in a less than secured mooring field. any suggestions?

Hello Pat

Have you thought about leaving it inflated and turned upside down on top of the sliding hatch. You could easily secure it with a couple of locks, one around the mast and one each side. Being quite visible and locked to the boat may deter would be thieves??

We have considered this approach, but I was concerened about the unrelenting wind we have had, loosening the dinghy and causing damage from rubbing on the gear winches and so forth. Since the H260 has an outboard motor, I could not think of a way to secure it to the stern. Regards pat
