Secondary Anchor Storage

Perhaps another silly question. I have a 1988 Catalina 22. Storing the primary anchor is easy enough in the forward anchor locker. As I prepare to head out this weekend, I am trying to determine the best method of storing a secondary anchor. What have some of you done? Do you simply coil the anchor line and store it and the anchor somewhere or do you keep line and/or anchor in something? The simplist option seems to be to simply coil the line and store anchor and line in the bottom of the cockpit battery compartment. I do not think the weight location will be a concern for me and my family as we simply enjoy the day. I would like something that is safe, efficient, and easily accessible. Second Anchor Location

Storing a secondary anchor in the vicinity of the cockpit(cockpit locker) is an excellent idea, because in an emergency, the anchor can be quickly deployed without you having to stray from the helm.
