Peggy - sorry we missed you this past weekend at the Lake Union (Seattle) Boats Afloat show. We came by on Saturday morning sometime after your morning seminar and, silly me, after looking at the sailboats, figured out that I really didn't have any idea how to find you. For all I know I walked by you a dozen times! Hope you had a good show and enjoyed Seattle. The weather really cooperated and I think the crowds came out as well. Interested in your comparison of that show to others around the country that you have attended. Bear in mind that the September show is not the big one in Seattle, just one of the couple held there where the outside weather is reasonably nice. The big one is in January and also includes boats in the water at that venue as well as the huge stadium show, but the weather may or may not cooperate then. Tim Brogan April IV C350 #68 Seattle

It was GREAT!!

Perfect weather had a lot to do with it, of course...but there were a zillion boats--power and sail, new and brokerage--in all sizes and the show was exceptionally well organized and managed. Traffic flow was well thought out...so you could actually get onto the boats without standing in line for two hours. The show staff had everything working every day like a well oiled machine...and (on the surface anyway) were the most laid back, relaxed show management I've ever seen. No...it's not the size of Annapolis and other large shows...but not THAT small compared to other local shows. And it has a MAJOR advantage over large indoor shows: big boats, and sailboats with masts up and rigged. It's grown considerably in just 2-3 years...and I suspect will continue to grow. 'Cuz September weather is MUCH more pleasant than January weather anywhere 'cept FL. I loved it...and I loved Seattle! Just sorry I missed meeting you.
