Has anyone had their seat cushions recovered? What is the best material to use? Is it better to just have new ones made?

BUY NEW ONES

Karen: My wife and I had the same problem a few years ago on our (now sold) Hunter 31. We went with totally new cushions throughout the boat. Not only did we get to pick the fabric we wanted (your cushion maker will have zillions of samples!) but we got to replace some pretty old foam. The results were nothing less than amazing. Not only did the new cushions look great, they felt great and actually provided support! I highly recommend you go with total replacement vice just recovering the old foam. Don't think you will be disappointed. Good luck! Tim Leighton S/V "Magic" C-400

Karen, try Bottomsiders

Hi Karen - You may want to check out BottomSiders cushions (available from the chandlery on this site). They are made from closed cell foam and are waterproof. Something to consider anyway. We love ours. Best of luck, Trevor

Buying new cushions

Tim, what was the price range for new cushions? Did you have the entire cabin redone? Thanks!
