Seal on the Beach at Napatree RI

I went out for a hike at Napatree recently and came across a harbor seal lying on the beach.
I have seen them plenty of times before, but not this close.

You've got to kove these guys. We have quite a few in Caliifornia but I think the best place to get up close and personal is at Santa Barbara Is. Novelman and I tried to get out there last year. I'm determined to get there this year. Check out this video.

I remember I used to see a lot of them in La Jolla, but I had heard about
how abundant they were off some of the islands.
