Has anyone used SeaGloss Pro? (West Marine brand non-skid)

Also, I've read many posts about the proper way to redo your non-skid, most are recommendations for using a home mixed non-skid. They range from detailed, labor intensive instructions for creating a clean palette all the way to just clean it off, tape it up and slap a new coat on.

There are plenty of projects that get the labor intensive treatment on this boat, can you simply clean your existing non-skid well, lightly sand it so the paint grabs, tape it and repaint it? I want the finish product to look nice and last, but it seems starting from scratch might overkill.

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Try this

Non-skid treatment by Island Girl (islandgirlproducts.com) works well.
1. Clean and dry the deck.
2. Apply with brush and catlyst that comes with product.
3. Wipe off lightly.
4. Spray with hose lightly within one hour.
5. Apply second coat next day.
Sounds more cumbersome than it actually is.
Good shine, firm grip, long lasting.
Get the 12-oz container for around $40. Worth it.

Re: Try this

I agree, the Island Girl non-skid works great. In fact, after a year I ordered $100 worth of product to reapply a year ago. Well, he has my $100 and I have no product despite about five e-mails. He's not dishonest, just really unorganized. Must be the Hawaii sun.

I used Woody Wax Non-skid on the non-skid areas of my Mac and it worked great. It brings back the color with out being slippery. Be careful though it is slippery until it dries.
The spray bottle has lasted three seasons.
