Thank you, yes, I'm familiar with that article. When considering it a couple of years ago I started sourcing the parts (without purchasing any) and could not, for the life of me, find those 1/8 to 3/8" plastic barb fittings! So frustrating.

I just used 1/4 inch hose, it works fine and the fittings are easy to find
