Hello: I'm new to boating, have a 1978 H30, and I'm replacing my sanitation hose. I noticed that my seacock for overboard discharge [illegal within 3 miles of coast] has a loose screw [noticed it while slightly tightening all screws in this area]. This extremely large seacock [Grocko ? seacock] is held to the 1" thick round teak mounting plate with 2 screws, top and bottom [the top screw can't be tightened down anymore - - screw hole in wood not holding]. This is the type of seacock with the inner rubber bung that is tightened/loosened with a side thumbscrew. Is this loose screw a major problem? Or can it wait? I am planning on replacing all seacocks / thru-hull fittings this summer at haulout. Please help and thanks in advance for the help!
