well I did it. stepped off the dock in seabrook tx and stepped ashore in Isla Mujeres Mexico 10 days later. averaged only 66 miles/day, but ran under a x2 reefed main the whole way due to the really shitty weather. Bounced around a lot in 20Knt + winds for 3 days then a day or so of dead calm followed by another few days of 25 knt + continuous. those waves build up after a while. But the trip was worth it. Almost 700 miles. maybe here for another week or so and then off to the Caymans.
