Arrived at our boat this past Friday evening and discovered that we had left the water pressure switch on and the pump was working it's hardest to pump some water however the water tank had run dry. We had filled the tank the last time we used the boat and it still should have been 3/4 full. Well, turned off the water pump and now started seaching for the leak. Started at the water tank and followed until the next connection which was at the pump under the galley sink but alas no leak. After clearing out all the stuff under the sink and after carefull examination I finally discovered one valve on the hot water side of the manifold was leaking but not from the hose connection but on top under the cover of the manifold. Turning off the valve for the exit water line (to head shower) does not help as the leak appears to be on the other (top) side of the valve. Obviously this was the last project I needed to get envolved in on Friday night of the Memorial Day weekend. It appears that if we leave the water pressure off that the valve does not leak so we were able to get through the weekend. Now for some help. I did not receive any literature when I got the boat regarding the manifold. I have checked out the Sea Tech website but there are no instructions for taking apart the manifold and replacing the valve. It appears that after you remove the manifold from the bulkhead there are four rods that hold the unit together. I would guess that if I unbolt them the entire unit of 10 valves would separate (fall apart)? Can anyone talk me through the process of separating and replacing a valve. The replacement valve is availabe from the Sea Tech website. Thank you in advance for any help you can offer. Bob Keller S/V Kathryn Stamford, Ct
