Clearly, the animals are smart enough to know which end of the boat to load up! I doubt they’d wish to sink their own raft by submerging the cockpit end.

Just south of Perth in Western Australia there are two islands in a marine sanctuary.
Penguin island, which has penguins and you can land and walk around the marked path and Seal island which is off limits.
A couple of years a ago a group or 3 or 4 jet skiers landed on Seal island and went for a nice nature walk.
When they returned their skiers were gone. The territorial male seals have pushed them out into the 3 to 5 knot current.
Expensive mistake.
