Hey Debra, My Hunter 33 did not come with one either, its a 1982 model. When decided to add a dodger, I needed one to give the dodger a place to connect where the hatch would still slide open without problem. You might want to search the how site in the photo forum, look for my article and pictures called the "dodger project" and you will be able to see the one I made for my boat out of fiberglass using a temp. mold. Took alot of work, but I am very pleased with the out come. good luck, David Underwood
