Hi All,

1) Anyone take off their sea hoos for rebedding? Any pitfalls?

2) The PO moved the traveller to thw cabintop. I'm not impressed with the leverage provided. Does anyone have a picture of the cockpit traveller sheeting setup? Mine is a 1980, I do not know if all the early version had the same setup for the cockpit traveller or not.

Thanks,
Jim B.

H37C mainsheet, early models.

Jim, do you still have the track and the car on the bridgedeck? Could you or would you replace it with an adjustable track, maybe the one from the cabin top? That is the only problem with my '79 original, having to adjust by moving the pins and with no leverage.

The original is/was two fiddle blocks with the mainsheet going forward under the boom, down to a turning block, through a cheek block and back to the portside cabin top winch.

I replaced the original with Garhauer blocks(Related Link), one with a cam cleat, so that everything stays at the bridgedeck. Eliminating all that other travel gives me much more control. I probably have pictures if you need them but on my other computer.

Never had to mess with the sea hood, no experience there.

Original main traveller

Hi Ed,

THanks for the reply. I do have the track and car, and noticed there is no way to position it laterally. I did not think of using the cabintop traveller in the cockpit but that may be a thing to consider. I didn't recognize that the mainsheet went forward but that makes sense. A picture would be nice, but there is no hurry. This will be a winter job if at all.

Jim
