Full Scuba or Hooka? We are in the process of

Full compressor?

Hi JV - Now wouldn't THAT be cool. Would take a lot of room or your C36, but could probably be done. Dick, I'd be interested to hear about your Hooka installation, as I'm dreaming of doing the same. I'm hoping to learn from others here that may offer advice - good topic JV! Trevor

Full compressor v. hookah

I'm thinking of something in the 3000 psi/3 CFM neighborhood - quite small, not too expensive. I've thought of the surface supply "pumps," but they run about hte same cost as a compressor, and yuou still have the hookah option with a compressor - just get a long LP hose and leave the tank and first stage on deck. I purchased a surplus Walter-Kidde 3000 psi/3CFM compressor head that may need some work and certainly needs cleaning. I have an LP fueld, electric start 8 HP engine that would drive it - would only ne3ed build a frame and get a suitable filter to provide grade E air.

Whew!

Thanks Gary, I read the article in the link, and I'd like to add that unless you are very experienced with diving, you shouldn't do as this guy says - comments like "You can't get into too much trouble if you restrict your diving to 30 feet but..." are a bit scary. (I've been diving for more than 25 years).
