Hello all,
I just wanted to pass on the good work by Schaefer Marine on a snatch block that needed help. We emailed Joy and dropped off the block since we were driving by. It was ready in two days so we picked it up on the return trip. Now the other block needs polishing.

What did they do to it? I have some old Schaefer genoa cars on my boat, the plastic roller has worn through. Seems silly to pay $180 + each for new cars when really the $10 roller is the only problem...

I would agree on finding out what needs fixing. On mine the plastic on both sides crumbled, the release pin was stuck, and the sheave was gummed up. It came with the boat so I don't know how old it is, but I now have a snatch block for 20% the cost of a new one.
