Well, I got the bracket off the compass housing. Thanks for all the advice on how to do it. I have two compasses . One of them just unscrewed ,the other I had to gently pry off. Got the bulbs coated with nail polish and reinstalled. Did notice one other problem. One of the compasses had a good sized air bubble in it. Is it due to the weather change? Any ideas? It wasn't there this summer. Is it possible to repair? Thanks Paul H S/V Linda Belle H26
