I spend a lot of time on my h450 and get tired of the same old CD,s. Satellite Radio(MX)technology seems to offer the answer. Does anyone out there have any experience with this new technology? Where did you mount the antenna?

Not yet, but...

When I installed a new stereo this summer I made sure it was XM compatible, but I still need to add the $250 receiver. I also think it would be a great answer for boating

Satellite Radio should revolutionize your FM stereo listening experience and make your selection of CD quality options almost endless. For sailors who spend a lot of time on board and/or cruise through their own limited CD collection and a lot of scratchy or "FMless" holes of reception, SR will give you continuous "in concert" sound. I spent considerable time studying and listening to the new SR receivers and think it is definitely the way to go. The $10 a month subscription fee will give me the endless CD quality listening options for half the price of a new CD which I will get tired of listening to in a fairly short time. XM which is the provider has 100 channels of every type of music and a limited number of talk radio channels. Around 30 channels are commercial free music and the rest have no more than 5-7 min of talk in an hour...try to find that on any conventional radio station. By the way, coverage is national. For these reasons I asked Santa for the new Sony plug and play satellite receiver which will work with my existing JVC FM Stereo/CD system on board my Hunter 376 which I sail on the Chesapeake Bay. I will use the Sony with additional antenna, etc. in at least one of my cars. Christmas should sound sweet. Curt Morris s/v Smooth Operator
