Sanitation Hose Replacement Advice

I am about to replace my old white vinyl sanitation hoses that have permeated with Sealand Oder free hoses. I have filled and flushed my holding tank and lines with fresh water a half a dozen times and sucked them dry at our marina's pumpout the best I could. I assume there will still be residual fluid in the tank and hoses. Any advice/tricks for limiting spillage when I break the hoses appart would be appreciated. I dread spilling sewage into an inaccessable place under the liner. Thanks1985, H31 Yesterday's Dream

I wish I would have read peggy's article!!!

I replaced my sanitation hoses and made sure that when it was time for it to drain out, it went into my bathroom down the drain and into the bilge. Then I brought in the hose and tried to sink my boat by flushing every thing possible into the bilge. Next came the bleach, then I followed with another boat sinking flush. I am glad I only had to do that once. Make sure you breath out of your mouth not your nose. Good Luck!!!
