San Francisco Bay vacation

Pulling my Hunter 260 to San Francisco in September going to moor boat, park truck and trailer at the Alameda Marina and go sail the Bay for two weeks, day trips,having never been there does this sound like a good practical plan as a way to enjoy the Bay, while securing truck and trailer.

Great idea. We used to sail our C22 from there. Good safe place for the trailer, too. They have a hoist. There's a public launch ramp outside the marina on Grand Street. Read Kimball Livingston's Sailing The Bay before, during and after your trip, it will make everything a lot easier and it's a great read all by its lonesome. September is a magical time of year for sailing here.

I have kept one boat or another at Alameda Marina for the better part of twenty years. It's good place to be.
