Saloon wood cleaning and maintenance

I recently purchased a 1990 Vision 32. Does anyone know what the wood is and how to clean and maintain it? I know the sole is Teak. The companionway is pretty faded.

I have a 93 40.5, if it is the same wood, mine is teak. Hunter recommends Daly's Seafin teak oil. You can sand it with 400 grit and apply an even coat of the oil. Let it dry, and wipe. It will produce a sheen layer.
I do not have my manual with me. Perhaps it is on the Marlow-Hunter website.

My companionway side wood was faded and rough, sanded it with 400 grit, (be careful not to go through the veneer) and applied the oil. It is smooth and Nice now.

Interesting. I haven't tackled any wood maintenance yet. I thought all exterior teak had to be vanished or bare.

Make that varnished, not vanished.

I called Hunter once, they told me the cabin floor was also done the same way with Daly's.
I Did use cetol on the outside wood, but after 6 years it looks bad. I will try the oil next time. and see if it lasts.

I had a si,liar issue and first used Murphys Wood Soap to clean it all. Then I used Watco Rejuvinating Oil (available at almost any hardware store) then I used orange oil to polish it up it almost looks as good a new.
