Lowering table
Fred, Loosen the knob on the post (counterclockwise) and press down on the tabletop directly over the post to compress the spring inside. If you apply force off-center, it won't go down. Once its down all the way, tighten the knob again. Mine needs to be tightened quite a bit, otherwise the whole thing creeps up.
