Looking for info:
A customer has given me a 110 furling jib off a 2004/6 Catalina 250 (swing keel) to put UV stripes up the leach and foot.
When I look at the sail laid out it is (sort of) radial cut and the outer panels (leach and foot) look heavier and more opaque than the panels near the luff. It looks like the UV treated Dacron that I would use to do the job.
Can anyone confirm that this is the case? (I'm trying to save the customer some cash!)
I know Hunter do this so I'm thinking Catalina might too.
I've put in a call to Catalina but I'm getting an answering machine!
Thanks for any help you can give me,
sam
