POTL, Thanks.......
...it was worth the wait.Yes, the Chesapeake can get a little thin in spots and the wind can be a little flukey but it is still a great place to sail. You will, therefore, find a lot of "shoal draft" sailboats here. They say the Chesapeake Bay "system" has more shoreline than the entire west coast. That means plenty of nooks and crannies to explore and anchor in. We can sail 1 mile or 100 miles from anchorage to anchorage. We also have the choice of urban anchorages (like Balitmore and Annapolis in the northern bay), quaint little town anchorages or wilderness anchorages (OK, not as much wilderness as Lake Superior).I am a bit jealous of your wilderness anchorages. I think a long sail north to a group of wilderness islands sounds perfect. Maybe I'll get there someday.Enjoy the rest of your season,Toms/v Orion's Child
