Life is good - now that Grace Alone (#1013) is in the water. Better late then never. New mast wiring, paint and finally got the end off the boom so she is ready for some wind with the reefing lines...

Hersh, just drove over the Newburgh rt 84 bridge a few days ago. Isn't your boat right below it on the eastern shore? Nice area of the river right there!

What you probably saw was the Beacon Sloop Club, just south of the Newburgh/Beacon bridge ( I-84)
I am at Chelsea Yacht Club, which is about 5 miles north of the Newburgh/Beacon on the East shore .
The Beacon Sloop Club was founded by Pete Seeger. Kind of an un-usual "ducks" in that club. Radical environmentalists. They do some good, but at times go too far in my opinion.
