Sailing on Indian Lake-NY

Venture 2-22 fonda
I am a new owner of a Venture 2-22. I was interested in sailing on Indian lake-Hamilton county NY. Does any one have any infomation or experience with this lake? Other lake sugestions in the area?

Similar to were I sail

Never been there, but may be similar to were I sail only larger.

Because of the elevation and surrounding hills the wind will vary in wind speed all the time, the wind shifts will be drastic. A beautiful day sailing will be a challenge to master and when you go someplace else to sail what a piece of cake it will be.

Your lake looks like it was man made, so therefore be very careful with the water depth, lots of hidden stumps and boulders along the shorelines.

I've heard that "Indian Lake is a scene you should make with your little one". And that you should "Keep it in mind if you're lookin to find a place in the summer sun". :dance:

Wrens Nest had its maiden voyage on Indian Lake last weekend. The truck ,trailer and boat all preformed just fine. The captain and crew need some education and experience but we are workign on that. This weekend we hope to try it with some wind.
