Off topic and OP gone fishin...

Are our posts even relevant to the OP's intent? Don't know...
IMHO, We still don't really know what the OP actually meant by "sailing on the ocean".

I think there was a lot of relevance to the question in the posts, considering it's being a bit ambiguous. It seemed to me, the question was answered, however he meant it. We didn't know for certain what he meant but he should certainly know what we meant.

It sure would have been good if the original poster had entered the discussion though. I see that a lot on the various forums that I frequent. Lots of times tech problems and questions come up with various fixes in the different posts and we never find out what or if anything worked.

Hey Barry,
Be careful around Destin. I doubt a small outboard will get you back in if the tide is running out. The bay is huge and it would take awhile to explore. By then you will know if you should go out or not. The boat should be able to handle reasonable seas. W
