There doesn't seem to be any groups or O'day clubs on Long Island Sound. Looking for others to sail with from New Haven Harbor area. Any help?

Au contraire. The Northeast O'Day Rondayvous is in Clinton, CT the weekend of July 13th. Look for the sticky in Ask an O'Day Owner.

OK, Call me a DUMAS! I checked the link and it works for me and my wife. Hope to join you and the rest this summer in Clinton.
My wife and I sailed to Stratford for an overnight last year and I liked sailing SW out of New Haven Harbor because the water is clear of obsticles. If you sail to the rOnDAYvous would it be on the Friday or Saturday?
Haven't really thought that far yet. Probably Friday as most of the folks coming from the west will be stopping off in Milford. I am sure there will be at least 2 or 3 boats from Milford. I am thinking it will only take half a days sail to get there.
Awesome, you're already there!!! With the possibility of this many 222's we should have a little regatta or something on Saturday!

I know it is still early, but I have a couple more members from our "yacht" club (West haven Yacht Club) joining in on the O'day rOnDAYvous this July. Two more O'day 25's and one O'day 26. All have made thier reservation and I believe we will be on F dock. As time gets closer maybe a mass exodus from New Haven Harbor can be coordinated to Clinton Harbor . I'll keep in touch.
This weather is crazy but I hear its going to be nice next couple of days.I went in the water last week and had a couple of sails so far. This past Sunday with the ESE wind @ 10-15 knots was awesome. Sailed with the Genny reefed half way and still made 6 1/2 knots from New Have Harbor to the Breakwater. Everything working OK and can't wait to sail to Clinton in July.
Awesome, I did the same from Milford this past Sunday as well. I didn't think we would get any wind but went out anyway to get some sail time in. Nice surprise in the early afternoon. Coming back it died off a bit before charles island and motored back.
Ok! Less than a week away from the O'day rondayvous in Clinton, CT. I have three other O'day owners from our boat club joining me. We are planning onleaving from New Haven Harbor on Friday, July 13th in the morning before low tide. Hope everyone else is going. From our club there will be: Myself (Dan)aboard "Lisa E", '75 O'day 25; Vinnie onboard "Sea Sea Rider", '76 O'day 25; Phil onboard "Victoria", '78 O'day 25; Jimmy onboard "Marlinda", '84 O'day 26. Should make for a good regatta.
