It looks like we are being relocated to the South East (Atlanta). I am thinking of moving our boat to the Charleston South Carolina area. I realize it may be a plane ride to get to the boat and use it, but I feel it is a better option than putting it on Lake Lanier. Does any one have any recommendations on Marina's, Boat yards to launch it, and saiiling conditions? Vince

Try Saint Simons Island, Ga.

St. Simons Island has a wonderful Marina named " Golden Isles Marina" which is located with easy access to the intercoastal and the Atlantic; It is about a 5to51/2 hour drive from Atlanta. Great sailing conditions very similar to Charleston. The Marina # is : 912-634-1128. Dunbar Sales is a Catalina dealer and is located at the marina; phone # is 1-800-282-1411. Barney Riley is the owner. I have a Catalina 36 in St. Simons and have enjoyed it very much , particulary compared to 8 years on Lake Lanier in a Catalina 25.
