Sailing gloves

I use the JetPilot brand PWC gloves. Like the mechanics gloves Maine Sail uses, they're thin enough that I can tie knots and such... but provide a lot of protection for your hands. About the same price from what I've seen too.

I've had a couple of pairs of brand-name sailing gloves; they only lasted a couple of years per pair. Most of the wear came not from the jib sheets, but from the main sheet whilst gybing.
Maybe I just don't know how to sail properly, but I've had really good luck with full leather driving gloves, with reinforced palms, from ACE hardware.
