Sailing from Apalachicola to St. Petersburg, FL

Anyone sailed from Apalachicola to St. Petersburg, FL in their Catalina 22? What can you tell me?
Who went? Crewed or single hand
What went wrong? What was unexpected? What broke? What did you forget to bring? What could you have left home?
When did you go? When might have been better? When's worst...I know hurricane season!
Where...route coming and going...where did you anchor along the way and in St. Petersburg?
Why...I want an adventure I think I can handle single handed and safely (relatively anyway).
How...how much did you spend on your trip? How did it turn out overall? How long before you go again?

Not in a c22, endeavour 42. This past december. Don't believe 'local knowledge', govt cut is shoaled in pretty good. We grounded hard with 5'6" draft going where we were advised had deep water. East cut is much deeper & wider.
We had a beautiful night, very calm, motored all the way. You could hear the dolphins along side.
Clearwater & Pass a Grille are both good inlets. Plenty of anchor room off Gulfport.
Crab pots are thick till you get to 40' of water, at both ends of the trip.

Thanks much for that local update. Glad you had great trip. Just ordered new mainsail. Can't wait to go. Will post log in progress.
