Thank you for the video. Looks like you enjoy your sailing. I tried to look up your Canal25, but could not find it on the web. Was interested in the hull/keel shape. She looks like she has a round belly. I like the way she was moving in your video from 2018 and the visit to the tsunami sites. Your Jib sheet auto steering is quite clever. Makes the whole boat act like a windvane.

I will take a vid of my home port.
It is a very small fishing harbor that was spared by the tsunami.
Usually these small harbors are controlled by the (mafia) fishers unions, but after the tsunami most of the elderly fishers gave up and allowed sailboats to moor there.
About 20 sailboats all up. Mostly 25 foot Yamahas but a couple of Bennis and Jennis.
I am about the smallest at 24 feet.

I suspect that the boat is made from imported molds and renamed.
I like to think that it is along the Sand S lines but a little smaller.

Johnathan is very pretty. If she's a seventies design, she was very progressive for her time. I would have put her in the eighties.

Lovely! Bet Jonathan is pretty quick for the age - kind of like a '70's MG... I believe we are all a bit odd here, each loving their own respective corner of history...

Jonathon reminds me a lot of my friend's Seafarer 23. 'Course my friend modified his by cutting off the skeg and converting it to a transom hung rudder. The keel is completely different. The Seafarer has an encapsulated keel filled with lead pellets (Shot) and concrete. It sails easily to its rating.
