I am getting ready to pull my FIRST 405 out of the water and park it on the hard at my place of business for a complete refit. I have 8 boat stands from my previous boat a Hunter cherubini 37 that drafted 5ft 4". The Beneteau first has a 7ft draft. I am afraid my present stands my not reach. Does anyone know what model Brownell stands would acomodate this boats draft? Dont want to have the boat dangling from a crane and no stands to fit. Would rather use a cradle but cannot find anything nearby. Your help is apreciated

Those stands are pricey. Even worse is that they need to be shipped by freight. I am not sure you have local access to these stands but just a tip...........order online at West Marine and have them "shipped to store" for free. It will save you hundreds in shipping costs.

I have located a company in N.C that manufactures the same stands but galvenized. I can buy just the 70/90" base and use my existing screw in it. Bases only at 95.00 and 150.00 shipping for 8. Best deal so far.
Other option would be to dig a trench and insert the wood cribbing in the ground so the botton 18" of the keel would be below the surrounding gravel. That would lower the boat enough so that I can still use my existing 60/79" stands.

I called that place in NC and since I only needed one stand it was cheaper to just pick up a Brownell at WM. I guess they stack them on a pallet and it's $150 for 1 or 8. I was going to mention digging a hole for the keel but figured you wanted good access to the keel for maintenance. I reck'n you will be selling your short ones to help pay for the new ones anyway.
