I don't know for sure but I would check with

Some of the local boat yards like Cobb's or perhaps the Hampton Yacht Club or Bluewater Yacht or perhaps York River Yacht Club. Those guys are all in the local phone books. I am sure that they would know more so that we would since we have had so little need for that service. Check them out and good luck! In the mean time, I will ask around and see if any of my local sailing buddies know of anyone. Tom

Do you have a regular trailer for her? I can tow 9K and live on the same side of the bridge. What year 27? Mine is 05.

A couple numbers

I was going to use a moving service last year and got quotes from 2 movers that Hunter recommended. American 800-828-3364 Hudson 410-378-2676 Don't know if they are still good numbers - last year they were good.

no trailer

unfortunately I need a hydraulic trailer to move her, not really a trailerable boat. I got one qoute for 1200 which was crazy, that is what i paid to move it from boston to carrollton, almost 800 miles.

Is there no way to get there via water?

Or is the boat not quite ready for such a trip? If you are having engine problems you could try putting an engine mount on the transom and 'borrow/rent' a 9.9 HP outboard for the trip. Heck, for the $1200 charge for towing you could probably buy an engine and mount it. The ICW goes by Virginia Beach no? I guess I am at a disadvantage because I do not know the ultimate destination you want the boat located. I dont have a chart of your area handy but on google maps it looks to be about 50 miles via the ICW from Carrollton. Good luck.

Need towing because I am on the Hard at a house

The boat is sitting in my in laws back yard after being re fit, it is done but has to get to the water in order to sail it anywhere, the engine works fine.

I see. You need a hauler either way.

In order to take the boat there by water you would need to launch the boat so would need a trailer. If it ends up on a trailer why not take it around by road to its destination. I suspect that splashing in and out will cost you something extra anyway so why not just go by land. Good luck finding that hauler. Wish I could help you with that.
